I loved making this stitched wallhanging, and I am sure you’re going to love it just as much.
Remember those old string pictures we used to make? You’d bang a bunch of nails in a design into a wooden board, then wind string around them to make the picture. This is our take on that, using candlewicked knots for the ‘nails’ and simple long stitches with embroidery thread for the ‘string’.
Using the classic Dahlia quilt block gives this a modern spin, and you can play with the colours as you like to make yours truly your own.
Our wallhanging has a diameter of 12 inches.
